The most popular way is to take the Croatian A1 highway (Zagreb – Split) to the direction of Vrgorac, although docks are also accessible from the north via Bosnia-Hercegovina as well. Bosnia-Hercegovina offers beautiful landscape throughout Neretva canyon, although the country offers only 2-lane main roads instead of motorways.

The ferry boat Split–Vela Luka offers us the utmost comfort. From highway A1 you need to take exit Dugopolje and follow the ferry boat sing (Trajekt) through the city of Split.

It is advisable to check ferry boat sailing schedule at www.jadrolinija.hr.

Please queue with your car at least one hour prior to departure since there might be heavy traffic. However you can leave your car there and get into the city of Split visiting the neighbouring Diocletianus Palace and Split Market.
